Facebook is currently apparently preparing a new mobile app, Pages Manager. The leaked sceenshots only show the iOS app but hopefully there will be an Android version too. It is described as follows: “A new app from Facebook to help you keep up with your Page and connect with your audience in one place.”
9to5mac is reporting that the app is slowly rolling out across the world, starting with New Zealand. The app looks very similar to the normal Facebook app but with features dedicated to Facebook Pages, such as Insights (Reach, Engaged Users, People Talking About This, and probably more), as well as other ways for tracking analytics data.
A spokesman from Facebook had this to say:
We’re testing an app that helps owners of small to medium Pages more easily manage their Facebook presence,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement.
This app will be the third mobile app that Facebook has released. Starting with the main Facebook App, then Facebook Messenger. Unlike the other two apps Pages Manager seems to be mobile only as it wouldn’t have much use since the Facebook website.
