The next Xbox’s release date may have been leaked with a Microsoft Job Listing.
The listing itself has since been taken down, but it said this:
over the next 18 months Microsoft will release new versions of all of our most significant products,” going on to list “Windows (Client, Server, Phone and Azure), Office and Xbox.”
We already know about the next generation versions of all of Microsoft’s products, but their Xbox line hasn’t had that much information released.
18 months would be early 2014, but it would be more likely that the new Xbox – codenamed Durango – would be on sale for Christmas 2013. Microsoft said at E3 2012 that there would be no new console announcement this year, so it is very likely that it would be announced at E3 2013 and then released in the fall.
