Today, Google is now advertising “the next version” of it’s mobile wallet service and providing a link to request an invite. The website has a link to “Request an Invite” for when the next version is ready, but what is quite interesting is what happens once users do so. After clicking the link, Google asks what type of device you use. The options are: Android, iOS, and Other.
There is no information regarding what will be included in the next generation of the Google Wallet service, but many are speculating Google may have plans to extend more functionality to the Google Wallet iOS app. The iPhone version for iOS obviously wouldn’t include support for NFC capabilities, but it may provide some integration with Apple’s Passbook app?
