A recent video from Nintendo America highlights two of the many features that are built into the Wii U. First, they go over WaraWara Plaza, and then they show Wii U Chat. The WaraWara Plaza is what you will be greeted with when you turn on the console. It’s similar to a social network and it is built entirely around the Wii U’s software. As players are saying things about the game they’re playing, Nintendo will shows these messages on to be displayed on the WaraWara Plaza.
It’s a neat idea, hopefully it works well.
The Wii U chat system seems interesting, but there was a large delay. This may be because the conversation shown was across the world. Hopefully this delay will not be as long when calls are made over shorter distances.
