Reports are suggesting that Google will soon be released it’s own branded 12.85inch Chrome OS laptop. However, it wouldn’t carry the Chromebook brand, but would be a genuine competitor to Windows 8 and Mac notebooks.
China Times first published the rumours, which claim that two Taiwanese manufacturers will be building the OEM machine. The sources also suggest that the supply shipments have already started, and the laptops will be shipping early next year.
Google have been rumoured to be manufacturing their own product for a substantial amount of time, mainly because of the company acquired Motorola earlier this year. It has allied with a number of other manufactures on it’s Nexus and Chromebook products, but it will be interesting if Google create their own laptop.
