Microsoft is reportedly joining the likes of Apple and Samsung in the race to develop a smart watch.
The Redmond-based company is apparently working on designs for a touchscreen watch device, WSJ reports.
In early 2013, Microsoft asked Asian suppliers to ship parts for a potential watch device. Once source added that he had a meeting with the research and development team at Microsoft at its headquarters.
The company however has previously collaborated with Fossil and other watchmakers to create the Smart Personal Object. The technology could link to a user’s PC via a cable.
