Skype has surpassed 100 million installs of its Android App, and today, it has rolled out the 4.0 version of its Android App to users.

The new UI boasts a fast, simple and intuitive design that resembles it’s Windows Phone 8 App it launched last year.

Skype 4.0 for Android includes a redesigned user interface for conversations, and the ability to easily swipe over to Contacts and Favorites. Tap on someone’s name and a new messaging window will open and from there you’ll be able to easily start video or voice calls with a single tap.

Skype also says that the updated app has been designed from the ground up so users will get a sleeker experience that cuts loading times.
