YouTube have just refreshed the look the of their Android and iOS Apps with a new card-based interface that allows you to watch a video while you browse for the next.
Once in a video, you can drag a video down while it’s playing and it will continue to play in the lower-right hand corner of the screen. This allows you to keep browsing for new content to watch. You can then drag up on the smaller video to put it back in it’s original state, or swipe right to stop playing the video entirely.
The update also allows you to search for playlists for the first time, and if you navigated to a channel and started watching videos, the next video from that channel will play automatically afterwards.
The app icon has also been updated, as well as a bigger subscribe button and like/dislike buttons.
